Helpdesk + group

Hi there.
We have 300 unique users and also each user are at one group only.
My question is:
Is possible that user group appear automatically when inserting a ticket?
How i can do that please.

We use glpi 0.71.3.

Not currently. A user could be a member of more than one group and glpi would not know which group you want to default to.

This is something that I think would be sueful in the future though (default group setting)

take a look at this patch I made for a customer (sorry it's in french)
https://www.08000linux.com/lstm/contrib … -post-only

it's not exaclty what you are looking for : in fact it adds automatically the group of the user when a post-only posts a ticket
you could adapt it for your needs

French is not a problem, i have oncles in Nantes (cholet)  smile
