Hello everyone,
the person that made changes in the notification templates has left the company, but now we're having some problems. Whenever you mention someone in a task by using the @username option, a mail is being sent telling your name is mentionned. But you don't see the actual message.
For what line do I need to look exactly in the notifications templates, or can someone give me the original line? So I can arrange this so it shows up correctly?
Thanks,
Jo

Or can you let me know what the default template is for a ticket, so I can compare my self and find out where the change has been made?
The fact is, you get the actual task with the link in it. But you also get the message that you've been mentioned. And on that mail, no further info is given, not a link to the actual ticket.

If you want to change the mention notification, you can do so in Setup > Notifications > Notifications.
For more information about the notification system in GLPI, please see the user documentation.

Hi cconard96, I know the location of the templates. Is there a way to get the original content, so I can compare to what we have now? Maybe I can solve it.

Dear,
in the meantime I've been able to locate the problem (finally). The problem lies in the languages. If you use English as your setting, you receive the mails as it suppose to do. But if your language setting (in your GLPI profile) is set to another language, the mails you receive are different and are lacking info. I've already checked the templates in another language, but they are the same. What could be the problem in that case?

Dear,
does anyone else experience this type of problem or am I the only one.

Quick question, is it possible to change the default language of the template per language? Or how do you define the template per language?

The problem is also we want to use the "user mentioned" option. If we use the @username item in a task or followup, the mentioned user gets 2 mails. 1 with the actual followup or task and a second one for the mentioned user, but this last mail is empty. So I'm wondering what we're doing wrong. Does this needs to be add in the template somehow? I've installed a local version on my pc, so I can check the original template. But in that one it doesn't show anything regarding the user mentioned option.

Concerning the differences in languages (info in English, but empty mails in French and Dutch), which template is being used? Is this the default template or the one of the specific language? Or how does this principle work? Do we need to set the specific template to be used or does it check it automatically?

What I don't understand is, if your account is set to English and it uses the default template, you receive the mail with the correct info (I'm not talking now about the mentioned user problem but more in general). When you set it for instance to English US and only the default template, you receive an empty mail. And if you use the same info from the default template and you use it for the English US template, even then it doesn't work. You'll get an empty mail. It doesn't sound logic to me.

What is the best strategy to copy/clone a notification template? I've already tried copying, but unless I need a special tactic it didn't work as I hoped.
