I read the functionality to create users from email is planned for v10.1
When an email is received from a user who does not have an active user account what happens?
I tested this and nothing... not even a bounce?

Found it.
Setup => General => Assistance => "Allow anonymous ticket creation (helpdesk.receiver)"
I think the feature I read about is the ability to create user accounts from email when the sender is unknown.
