Re: creating ticket by e-mail

the link will only be an example.
It 'very simple, you must:
1) configure the parameters of the mailbox to which you want to be sent the tickets in the Setup> Receivers
2) make a test "Get mail tickets now"
If everything works, from now on, all mail sent to the mailbox will be automatically (dfault 10 minutes) to download and will be created tickets

Re: creating ticket by e-mail

I have a question related to this. How do you assign a mail to an entity ? Is it possible to assign by the sender's email address ?

Currently we have lot of entities and planning to use this feature, but all emails going to the root entity.

Re: creating ticket by e-mail

You must create 1 mailgate per entity

Re: creating ticket by e-mail

Ask your Zimbra administrator the connection argument for a mail client.
And enter this info in Setup / Mailgate

Re: creating ticket by e-mail

If connextion if successful, this means login/password are ok.

If it doesn"t found any mail, this means, you haven't any mail OR some parameter (like mailbox) are not ok.

Please, post your full configuration .

Name:     test
Entity:     Root entity

Resulting connection parameter    {172.30.30.2/imap/ssl/novalidate-cert/notls}test@fajarpaper.com

Re: creating ticket by e-mail

Mailbox is not the name of the user, but the name of a folder in the mail server

Try with empty value, or INBOX

Re: creating ticket by e-mail

Did you try POP3 instead of IMAP4? There is, IMO, little added value using IMCAP4 instead of POP3 in this case, and POP3 appears to be simpler to configure.

Re: creating ticket by e-mail

I've a similar problem with sending ticket by e-mail...

When I send a ticket, glpi don't receive my mail until I go in Central > Setup > Receivers  and retry password or click Get mail...It's not automatic???

Where are the parametrization for mail synchronization?

my parameters are:

Name: Assistenza sede
Entity:  --Root entity--
Server  10.32.22.100
Mail folder (optional, often INBOX)
Port (optional)
Resulting connection parameter {10.32.22.100/imap}
Login:  assistenza.sede
Password:  *******

Thanks

Did you ever find a way to make this automatically check for new tickets/mail?
