GLPI email arrives by huge delay

Hi,

I've set up a new glpi that sends notifications when a new ticket has been made. But the email arrives with a huge delay; this delay can be as long as 2 hours.
Is there some setting that causes this? The emails should arrive within minutes, not hours..

I found the timezone does not seem to match, after setting the timezone in the php ini file it seems to be ok for a few minutes, but then it still shows the wrong hour and it breaks again?

glpi 9.4

Re: GLPI email arrives by huge delay

check if notifications are in notification queue.
check entities notification tab> delay for sending notifications

check for automatic actios >queudnotifications :
is it active ?

mode ? GLPI or CLI
if CLI : is cron set on server ?

/!\ glpi9.4 is not a stable version yet.

Re: GLPI email arrives by huge delay

Everything was working, it was sending emails but the task would run very randomy and sometimes just stop.
We edited it to CLI and a cron task and now it works properly, before it was set on GLPI and not CLI.

Re: GLPI email arrives by huge delay

That's the point.

GLPI type tasks are run when someone does something in GLPI interface. If no one is connected or doesn't touch anything, it is the normal behavior of a GLPI type task to be asleep.
It could be useful for some kind of task but sending email is not what comes to my mind in first place :-)
