Hi,
Using GLPI I see there are only network and computing resources. But what would be best practise for inventorying Storage devices. I've already tried by using Devices, but in that case can't define controller, what is most important for Storage Devices. Also I want to have Volumes, LUNs and host mappings?
What would be best practise to implement that possibilities?

Hi,
Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) has been introduced in GLPI since version 9.3. I expected that a new type of equipment would be added - disk storage, my hopes were not realized. How to inventorying Storage devices? Continue to use plugin Generic Objects Management?

However, in the introduction of data center infrastructure management, storage as a feature is mentioned, https://github.com/glpi-project/spec/wi … nhancement.

I also tried to use "Storage" type of Assets to manage libraries, drives, etc. Unfortunately, there is another limitation: such devices cannot be added to the Racks - there is simply no option to do so, they do not show as available types... This severely limits usability of these "Storage" types, as we had to revert to use "Computers" type instead...
