Hi
I am having issue with 2 computer overwriting each other. I have try some suggestion on this forum but is not working. I need help
Glpi version as below
GLPI 9.2.2 Copyright (C) 2015-2018 Teclib' and contributors - Copyright (C) 2003-2015 INDEPNET Development Team
FusionInventory 9.2+1.1 - Copyleft © 2010-2017 by FusionInventory Team
I have try to add rule as below
http://localhost/plugins/fusioninventory/front/inventoryruleimport.php
Rule - Computer update (by mac + serial)
Criteria
Assets to import : Serial number exists Yes
Assets to import : Serial number is already present in GLPI Yes
Assets to import : Item type is Computers
Assets to import : MAC exists Yes
Assets to import : MAC is already present in GLPI Yes
Actions
FusionInventory link Assign Link
Rule - Computer import (by mac + serial)
Criteria
Assets to import : Serial number exists Yes
Assets to import : Item type is Computers
Assets to import : MAC exists Yes
above rule is enable and default Computer update (by serial + uuid) / Computer import (by serial + uuid) /Computer update (by name) / Computer import (by name) is disable.
But with this rule it also overwrite each other. When i check on PC1 UUID 03A40274-0455-056W-C106-5X0700060001 and PC2 UUID 00000000-0000-0000-0000-4XXX6AAAA102. From the uuid for PC2 4XXX6AAAA102 is the mac address of the network card. but PC1 uuid is different not generate with mac address. Both are using the same rule Computer update (by mac + serial) and Computer import (by mac + serial). They still overwrite each other.
What i have done wrong in my rule or they was other place to setup. Please help. many many Thank.

hi
I get such probleme with clone machine.
Are this machine install througt a clone process?
Look at this file : C:\Program Files\FusionInventory-Agent\var\FusionInventory-Agent.dump
what is the deviceid value line?
Do you have one fusion agent for each glpi computer?

Hello,
I think that if you pass the non-existent serial number parameter in the GLPI database this should have passed, right?
If serial number is existing matter the
If serial number is existing in the GLPI database imports the
If I'm not mistaken ;-)

Hi
Many many thank for reply.
My 2pc is a clone with serial no: " Fill by OEM" both are the same.
The os is fresh install for each pc ( without clone ). All 2pc are fresh installed fusion agent.
I would like to use MAC only instead of serial no but when i try MAC only it still overwrite with serial no.
Pls some one got step by step to configure only MAC instead of using mac and serial no.

Hi
Change order of rules. Put the mac adress rules before serial rules. The rules stop with first rules match.
If they are clone and fusioninventory is in the clone picture, you have to :
- After renaming your devices ( rename of device don't change automatically the value of devices name for fusion agent )
- Stop fusioninventory service
- Delete C:\Program Files\FusionInventory-Agent\var directory ( it contain information for agent fusion, and with clone they have same value => not good)
- Start fusioninventory service => its rebuild C:\Program Files\FusionInventory-Agent\var directory with new information for distinct fusion agent.
