As far as I understand regarding email protocols, POP3 default behavior is to delete messages from the mail server as soon as they are retreived locally into the client, while IMAP is just sort of a "remote" connection to the mail server; messages are displayed but there's no actual local retreiving, changes made through the client are made into the server.
Having mentioned that, why does IMAP receiver on GLPI also deletes messages from the mail server as soon as retreived? What's the difference between POP3 and IMAP in GLPI then?
Is this intended behavior or is it a bug?

Searched for older similar threads, seems this is by design.
Thanks anyways.

You can use the setting to move to a subfolder.
POP3 it's a "feature" from your mail provider or more pop3 design. pop3 don't have a sync function so if you don't delete at the download the e-mail still there and you get it next time again as "new".
imap is designed for sync
