Hi,
I want to filter my assets by inventory number, but in a way like "starts with...". Apparently it's only possible to use "contains". Is it possible to add something it may not contain?

Hi, you can use a regular expression for that..
Append ^ to your search, this means "Everything who starts with"
Example:
^009
Will look for every name or Inventory Number who starts with 009

Marvelous! Just one thing. I noticed when you choose (on the assets tab) for global, everything is on the list, except softwares. That's a pity because it is in the list, but not taken when you choose global. Very strange.

To say "start with" you choose contain and ^
Example: name starts with toto => contain ^toto
name ends by toto => contain toto$

Thank you yllen, eulogy already pointed that out. the only problem I'm having now is that when you choose global (on assets tab), it shows what I want, except software, although that's in the(assets tab) list.

Yes, Global Assets is only for hardware, I don't know the main reason, maybe because performance.
