Notification On Adding Assigned To

Hello - I've looked through the forum, but I can't find my solution. I'd like to create an event to send a notification when a user is added to "Assigned To". I'm currently using a special group that's added to Watcher for new ticket notification and ticket closed notification. I don't have this group as part of the update notification because I don't want the group receiving a notification on every single update. However, the group needs to know when a technician has assigned the ticket to themselves.

I have Behaviors plugin installed. I don't see any methods there for accomplishing what I'm looking for.

Re: Notification On Adding Assigned To

You are basically trying to notify on "assigned to" update ticket, and no other update.

There is no way to accomplish that using the built in events, because there is only one event "ticket update" for all updates of any field in a ticket. GLPI doesn't discriminate between the types of updates on a ticket.

Re: Notification On Adding Assigned To

That's essentially what I'd found as well, but was holding out for something I may have overlooked. If I could create my own event, then maybe it would be possible. However, I can't find how to create my own event. I'm not interested in creating a plugin to accomplish this task.

Re: Notification On Adding Assigned To

Hello. Today that's true, we can't distinguish between Update ticket as it is assigned to tech/group or update ticket for any other reason.
Maybe via a hook in a plugin but needs development ...
