Assign entity on login

I'd like to create a page where the user select the desired entity before login. After login, it will be redirected to that entity.

It technical terms, I'd like to pass an entity parameter to the login page (index.php?active_entity=x) and handle it accordingly.

Have anyone done something like this already? Can I use the plugin architecture to achieve such results?

In my case I have the same problem. This is a university where change very often users Campus (managed by entitys). It would be possible to define the entity at the time of the login.
