Enabling Transfers

I am new to this software and trying it out, so please excuse this stupid question.

I have created a test Entity under the Root and am trying to transfer a computer resource from the root entity to the newly created entity. I see the documentation mentioning something about a value in the dropdown "transfer" when selecting the computer object, but I don't see that show up, ditto for monitor objects.

Is there something I need to enable to allow transfers?

Also, if I may ask an additional question, what is the simple difference between location and entity?

No, you just need to right on both entity (source and dest).
Look at the massive action menu at the bottom of the computer list.

Entity = right management (could be geographic based, or something else)
Location = geographic position
