Dear community
I'm implementing GLPI in my work because I want to inventory the differents satellite equipments that we are using. The problem is that satellite equipments have a very sensitive information that I don't want to share with everybody. In synthesis, I want that each user can just see their group of satellites equipments but to hide the rest of equipments of the other users. I don't know if I'm clear.
Somebody can help me please?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, In order to manage this kind of split in rights, you'll have to use entities.
then, you'll be able to give rights to some people over entity A and to some other people rights on entity B (even if the inventory item types are identical). You can also have people with rights over the complete entity tree.
We are doing such things in my company: several entities (which are time zone areas + local subsidiaries) with local people managing local things only.
to give an overview of entity tree:
APAC
+ CHINA
+ JAPAN
EMEA
+ FRANCE
+ Subsidiary 1
+ Subsidiary 2
+ ...
+ GERMANY
+ ...
NCSA
+ CANADA
+ USA
+ BRAZIL
