Sorry to post this, but I need clarification on upgrading to 0.83.
Step 2 basically says to unpack and then run the setup from the web GUI.
How do I unpack the file?
Where do I unpack it?
Thanks,
Dan

hey see the below url, you will get a idea!..! That wiki notes is for fresh installation, upgrade is also similar
http://www.glpi-project.org/spip.php?article61
upgrade steps:
1. edit the configuration files.
2. change the directories/files permissions
3. And go the browser and type the http://localhost/glpi/
automatically it asks for installation or upgrade!.. please keep on selecting next option. .
I hope you can manage from there. Have a try. .
There you go, all set and a new version is ready. .

edit:
I renamed config_db.php and did finally get an upgrade screen.
When it finished I logged in and the version at the bottom still shows 80.7 ?

Upon further investigation, I do not think my files copied over. I did a sudo tar -zxvf and received no errors, but no file date stamp shows 4/4/12
How do I make sure the files are overriden?
Thanks,
Dan

How to I re-add my plugins?
They are still there on the server, but not listed under plugins on the web GUI

I am using Reports and Ticketmail.
I see the Reports has a new version that works with 0.83, but when I unpacked it into /plugins, nothing showed in the web gui under plugins.
I tried to retrace my steps to see if I missed doing something, but if I did, I can't find anything.
Thanks,
Dan

This is corrected. I had not cleared out the plugins directory completely.
