Our GLPI system not available via browser.and it is giving the below error

"A link to the Mysql server could not be esatblished.Please check your configuration"

Nothing has changed on the system...do you have any idea what might be wrong??Please help!!

Thanks a lot for your quick response...Yes! when i check the service mysqld status it says running but when I try to resatrt it fails ...

Please help this is my production system and it is affecting users!..!

Mysqld (pid 8445) is running ...

Error while restarting mysqld service is "Timeout error occured trying to start MySQL Daemon"

Then it seems to be a problem with your mysql server not GLPI.

So check your mysql server and be sure it's ok and check DB and table with the necessary tools.

My Mysql and GLPI is installed on the same server...I am not able to connect to mysql server...It gives me an error can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'.. Is it something to do with the config_db.php file?when i checked everything is set correctly...I have a development server with the same configuration and it works fine!!

No configuartion changes have been made to mysql server...I am not a MYSQL expert so any help would be greatly appreciated..

The message that give GLPI seems clear. If you don't alter the config_db.php file , it's your Mysql that have a problem.

So i repeat it's a Mysql Problem not a GLPI problem...

Debug your Msyql, and Check DB and table with the necessary tools...
