smtp password

First of all sorry by my english.

My version of glpi is 0.83.6 and is installing on Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS

When i try to configure notification (Configure - Notifications - email follow up notifications) the smtp password always keep in blank

When i try the button "Test to send a email to the administrator" the GLPI always return the message "could not authenticate" "Failed to send email to administrator".

If i can't set the password i never can authenticate ..!

The SMTP password will not be displayed once set.

Can you post a picture of this screen?

thanxs for your answer, I found out that

now my problem es how to authenticate with an Exchange Server, y try with:
username
mailbox
domain/username
domain/username/mailbox

any ideas ?
