Uninstalled Software still appears

Hi,

Im using GLPI 0.80.4 and OCS 2.0.1. My problem is that uninstalled software still appears in the softwarelist of a pc in GLPI although its not existing in OCS anymore. So i have to delete the software manually in glpi. Is there any way to delete software in glpi if it is not existing in ocs anymore? Can you tell me what i need to do to solve this problem? I cant find any solution.

Thank you

Re: Uninstalled Software still appears

Sorry but i have to pick up this old thread.
After updating OCS Server to 2.0.5 and GLPI to 83.60 this issue is still relevant.
OCS, GLPI recognizes new installed software. if i uninstall software, OCS deletes all relevant entries. GLPI is doing nothing. But uninstall software by hand in glpi is not an acceptable state.

which config entries refer to software synchronization with ocs? i have to find the mistake, please help.

thank you

Re: Uninstalled Software still appears

Same problem here. So we decided to disable software and licence management thru GLPI.

Re: Uninstalled Software still appears

Ok, thanks for your answer. Are you using the same versions of GLPI/OCS?

Its strange, we continued working with glpi and it seems like that in some cases software changes will be updated in other cases nothing happens. but in each case there are no fileds locked in ocs mode and the software is always shown correctly in ocs admin console.

can somebody give me a hint how to debug this issue??

@ubujam: what are you using now to manage your licences?

Re: Uninstalled Software still appears

I use GLPI 0.83.6 with OCS 2.0.5. I updated recently, because there was a bug in GLPI 0.83.3 to the software dictionary (https://forge.indepnet.net/projects/glpi/versions/771)

At the moment I still try to understand GLPI software management and many other thind in GLPI. I believe that most of my problems with GLPI are "user"-problems. But the GLPI docs are very poor... I can't speak french.... so each step I do is "try and eror" hmm

Until I know it is a bug in GLPI or I learn how to use the feature in a correct way, I use Excel for "license management".

Re: Uninstalled Software still appears

I am still testing this. Is there a solution? Should GLPI remove uninstalled software? Where can I look for a reason that it isn't working? Is there a documentation?

Regards,
Marcus

Re: Uninstalled Software still appears

yes it should remove uninstalled software. it should only display software which is ordered to the computer in ocs.
in our case it seems that its an exception that glpi doesnt remove the software. in most cases it does.

are you using the software dictionary of glpi?

i think you should check if the software appears in ocs or not to, determine where the error occurs.

but as you said each step is try an error;)

Re: Uninstalled Software still appears

Yes, as the software inventory was enabled, the software dictionary was used...
