My Ldap authentication is given below and it is tested succesfully:
Name : GLPI.net Last update : 2011-11-28 10:37
Default server : Active :
Server : 192.168.7.252 Port (default=389) :
Connection filter : (&(objectClass=user)(objectCategory=person))
Basedn : DC=GLPI,DC=NET
rootdn (for non anonymous binds) : CN=administrator,CN=users,DC=GLPI, DC= NET
Pass (for non-anonymous binds) : Login Field : administrator
Test of connection to LDAP directory
Test successful (Main server : GLPI.net)
Now i cannot import users as it says no users to be imported. I guess there is some issue's in my ldap search filter so im posting the screenshot of it so it can be more help full for you to troubleshoot the error. The screenshot is given below:
*Search filter for user is: (& (administrator=*) (&(objectClass=user)(objectCategory=person)))
Can anyone help me on it how to get the users imported after getting a successful ldap test.
P.S I imported the groups successfully but no result is found for import users.

why do you use "administrator" in the filter?
Is your LDAP based on AD?
here is my filter (in a simplified version): Connection filter : (&(objectClass=user)(objectCategory=person))

Thanks Tomolimo, yes im using ldap based on AD. Second thing when i enter into advance feature of import user this search filter comes by default and i tried to change the filter with several things but it doesn't work. Please guide me to write the correct syntax of the search filter to import the users from AD. Waiting anxiously for your response.

in order to test my filters (and to have the field names on which I can filter), I used a free application called softerra LDAP browser 4.5.
they have a free version.

Hi luckymis,
Have you solved this problem? My GLPI 0.83.2 was working with Active Directory, but after two days I got the same issue as yours.
I deleted all settings of LDAP authentication and imported AD users and groups.
Now I can only get result of Active Directory group, but missing some groups imported before.
Can you help?
Regards,
Michael
