Restoring GLPI in another machine with the old backup-reg

Hi all,

Iam using glpi 0.84 for the last 6 months. I want to change the glpi software to another server.  After restoring the database, i want to upgrade to glpi 0.90. How can i restore glpi to another machine. which is the best way to do this. Waiting for your reply.

hi,
first, check your plugins still exists in 0.90.
check your server meets requirement for 0.90.
then deactivate plugins ( don't uninstall)
dump your database.
tar your glpi directory.

then

untar your glpi directory to your new server
upload dump and restore your database (from dump)

check datas in glpi/config/config_db.php and change database server)

log into glpi, it should work .(don't activate plugins) =>you are still working with 0.84
log out

then download glpi0.90.1 archive, upload to your server and untar (this will overwrite glpi0.84)

log into glpi : it will request for update, accept.
follow glpi instructions.

when finished  :

log out, empty browsercache
delete glpi/install/install.php

then upload plugins new versions in glpi/plugins/  untar
install and activate plugins.

Sorry for the delay.
Every thing works fine up to installing new plugins in version 0.90.1.
I have already working with some data using the generic plug in in my glpi version 0.84.8.
After upgrading to .90.1, I downloaded and installed the generic object plugin 0.85 .Then I went to the plug module and the generic plugin showed an upgrade option.
When I clicked the upgrade option, it shows changing database layout and nothing happens.

Is there any bug? or Is there anything mistakes in  upgrading to 0.90.1?

Hi

After upgrading to .90.1, I downloaded and installed the generic object plugin 0.85.

Is this plugin compatible with 0.90.1 Glpi version?

Sorry for the wrong information.
I tried to upgrade to glpi 0.90 version from 0.84.8 version. Copied the new generic plugin  0.85-1.0
After that went go the plugin option and clicked the upgrade button.Then it shows some database layout error.
Again I went to the plugin page and clicked the upgrade button. Then it showed
Work in progress...  and nothing happens.

The log file in the sql log is as follows
