Bonjour List / Forum,
my school French is too badly, unfortunately. Therefore i write in English.
Thanks for the good work with GLPI, the life makes somewhat easier for me as Admin :-).
I installed a CVS version for me on 13 January, this worked without problems.
Today i wanted the last CVS version to install and had to state that i cannot make a Login.
The reason is following.
In the version from 13 January there is an login.php Rev 1.47 Dez 2005, thus works it without problems.
With the Rev. 1.49 version i cannot make a Login.
Why ?
Many greetings to France.

Hello,
My school English is bad also but y will try to explain :
CVS version is the new version 6.5 of GLPI and database is often modified. This is probably the problem.
To update your database, you have to modify the field version in the table glpi_config directly in the database :
UPDATE glpi_config SET version= ' 0.6' WHERE ID=1
Then you remove the file glpi/config/config_db.php and start again the update using GLPI.
Warning 1 : you must use update and not install.
Warning 2 : CVS version is not necessarily stable and does not have to be used in an environment of production.
Greetings and good luck!
GLPI 0.71.5 / OS : Windows 2000 Server - SP4 / Décompactage : 7zip
Installation : Package Ocs NG 1.0 - Navigateurs : Internet Explorer 7
Serveur : Apache 2.2.3 / Base : mysql 5.0.27 / Langage : PHP 5.2.0 / PhpMyAdmin 2.9.1.1

Warning if you do such an update you will have problem with tracking status I think.

(in english : I suggest to add a checkbox "force DB update" in the process, because a lot of people have this "problem")

"force DB update" is a good idea.

Is only with this update, or with each update in the future.
Only if you update several times an existing update of 0.6-> 0.65
It is a beta-test trick to update kickly GLPI.
But in you must just do a correct update (without this trick) for your GLPI in production.
"force DB update" is a good idea.
No it is not a good Idea because this is not the real method to use.
It is only a trick used by dev and beta-test not in case of a GLPI in production

Can one later integrate (via Upgrade, Update, Dump etc) the data from the CVS version without problems into the 6.5er version?

The CVS is not a version of GLPI.
If you want to update to 0.65 wait for the official 0.65 release.
We will not do support for update from CVS to the official 0.65.
The website says :
Reserved to conformed users. Do not use in production.
