Cannot Receive emails

Hi

I'm trying to configure pop account to GLPI and keep on failing
it gives connection faild error message.I can download mails from my mail server to outlook using pop.
Can anybody help me to setup email configurations please.....

Centos 5.2,mysql 5.1.37-0,GLPI 0.72.1

Setup > Receivers
Name : helpdesk
server : my exchange server ip (MS exchange 2007)
protocol : pop - - -
Inbox : -
Port : 110

And I try to authentication
authentication > pop/IMAP >
using pop but it gives connection failed error.

I can send mails using follow ups without having any issue

I browse net for solution & still no luck
Plz help me to get this configured

Hi,

First of all, did you setup your Exchange server with POP connector enable. I'm not using 2K7 release at the moment (still with 2K3 std in fact), and I was IMAP to do such thing.

First, over the Exchange server you will use, drop down to the "protocol" menu and setup the pop connector adequatly to your organization (your GLPI server should be able to communicate). Then, go to the user management menu and setup your GLPI user account with the POP allowed.

I found a tip here, in French forum, regarding seting up Exchange 2K3 and GLPI. If you are still stuck with your setup, I could translate it.

Thanks for your reply.
I created pop enable user in exchange server.and I tested with pop & smtp settings using outlook express successfully.Then I configured account
Name : helpdesk
Server : exchange IP
Connection options : pop - - -
Mail folder (optional, often INBOX) : -
Port (optional) : -
Resulting connection parameter {192.168.128.8/pop}
Login:helpdesk

Still I'm getting connection failed error

But I Can configure gmail account using
Resulting connection parameter {imap.gmail.com:993/imap/ssl}

Is there any configuration to start communication between exchange server & GLPI server..?

There is a major difference between your gmail and exchange settings : first one used IMAP to authenticate, second one use POP.

As exchange is IMAP by default, you should replace your settings with it and then try again.

ADDENDUM : think of seting up IMAP on your exchange account and server.

There are many quality softwares in the world. But unfortunately not every program can help you. I ran into similar situation and my good luck consists in the following. I by chance caught sight next utility which resolved all my troubles for seconds. To my mind it has all necessary resources for working out almost any problem with ms outlook - opening .pst files without outlook.

Hi there, just wanna fill up the Threads with the informations:
2023 Microsoft stopped IMAP for fetching the Emails.
So i will try my best to give you the correct orders to get your mails over Oauth Imap:
First you need to install the Oauth Imap plugin
Then you need to need to create a Secret ID, Tenant ID and Client Secret for the
connection to 0365
After that u can create a authorization: just login with the account that will fetch the mails.
After this is done, you can just create a new entry at E-Mail Inbox:
For this you just two important entries:
connection options are: GLPI OAUTH and SSL
and the username(there should be a dropdown with your athenticated Mailbox)
Thats it, now you can select the folder of your choice for import and where the fetched mails should be stored
