dd, just a few comments from my side regarding the new agent based "tracker plugin". It's a true masterpiece. Unfortunately almost all conversations about it, is in French language and I guess due to this fact, some people even don't know that this awesome plugin exists.
So how about setting up at least a littlebit of English documentation. I would volunteer to make some docs for the start, but know that there is also a small video existing where functionality and comfiguration is explained.
I mean personally I know how this thing works, so not a problem to me, but I get that feeling that this is running alongside from a lot of guys using GLPI. If that is your intention for the first RC versions, fine, then I haven't said anything. But maybe a sticky post in the English forum would be of great help for others.

Yes, of course, the doc for 2.0.0 is not yet writed, I will wait the release to begin this. I will release this week end. After this, I write docs and probably make tutorial flash (with wink) and we can work together on english tutorial.
If you want, you can verify the english lang

Sounds great. I already started to make some minor modifications on the English language file and changed just some wording, so no biggies. I also made some xml models for some Xerox printers and will continue this for a number of Ricoh printers, even though MIB information is not published by Ricoh, but I finally got my hands on the MIB docs
No problem with helping you with the English tutorial. If time allows, I might be able to add a german one, but I can for sure make a german language file for the plugin.
By the way, just one technical question now: To run the agent you should usually have a quite new perl version in order ot have the "threads" which is compiled into it, at a certain version. Unfortunately with most Linux distributions you will not get a perl version, where threads version is greater 1.32 (at least not a supported one) When agent is running it reminds that with older thread version it can crash often. Is it really that bad, because I was lucky for now, but when I would upgrade perl I would loose at least support for that module from the vendor.
Oops and another technical one: How difficult will it be to "convert" the 2.0 tracker to run on 0.72, because that is what I am finally aiming on and yes, I know 0.72 does not exist.

Send me your models to d.durieux@siprossii.com to integrate in version.
For perl version, I haven't choice new version > 1.32 is required.
For 0.72, I release this week end and begin compatibility for 0.72 next week

That's great news. I will try to send you the models this weekend or latest on Monday.

Sorry, won't make it tonight, as I have no access to the files needed where I am right now. We can probably add them to the wiki, or in later release. I will probably have then a few more created.

Good, first thing that I will test tomorrow morning
Question regarding the agent. You have two hardcoded IPs in line 168 and 188. This is the destination where to send the info to, right ? Means the GLPI server in most cases.
Another one is, which perl version do you use ? Just asking cause of the "threads version"

Oh yes, it's an error, I will correct this, but this field isn't used and read by server
1.67 of thread version for me. If your version is too old (< 1.32) you have some problem.

And which perl version is it you use ? 5.8.9 ?
