Documenting Patch Cable Names ?

Hi,

we try to document our infrastructure in glpi and came to the point of how to document patch-cable Names, and Patch Cables.

What we finally want to to is to document with gllpi is that port eth4 from achine x is connected to port 48 of switch X with the cable named P00248

Any ideas of how to to it ?

We found Networking Ports which is nearly what we want, all that is missing is a field for the cable name.
Freefields are also not supported in Networking Ports we think.
