External authenticated user associated with an Entity.

I'm trying to set up GLPI for a tech support company I work for. I was hoping to be able to have our clients as Entities and use IMAP auth to have the users associated with that Entity. Is this possible? Also can you use the email address as the user name to avoid having 2 people with the same username.
