auto-populate location using OCS network data?

I am using GLPI 0.71.1 on Ubuntu server and am very pleased with the project!
I am also using OCS 1.02 RC2 on same server to inventory Windows clients.

OCS provides IP, subnet, and within OCS can give the subnet a name.

I'd like to have GLPI automatically use the OCS subnet name to fill in the computer inventory location field. Is this possible? I realize some machines may have multiple network entries and for these I'd be satisfied with first in list, but majority are likely single network anyway.

I see under OCSng configuration that one can choose to fill location from OCS admin fields like TAG, hardware_id, or other user-defined admin fields, but not network name.

A similar observation - OCS provides "comments" and "description" - GLPI can import comments, but I don't see a way to get description (which I would prefer!) - or is there a way?

Thanks,
Robert

Re: auto-populate location using OCS network data?

Polite bump on this thread as i spent ages looking for the answer to this exact question? Was this ever resolved?

Thanks
