Is it possible to update computer names?

I'm wondering if it's possible to add code to update computer names from the computer.php form. Reason i ask this is because when we replace computers, sometimes they will have the same name and this will cause confusion with "Linking computers to existing ones". Any info will be appreciated. I know you can do it manually by clicking each computer but it would be easier if i could select all computers from a certain area and change them to same name for storage reasons.
