Setup>Dropdowns>Suport items not appearing in dropdown.

Hello Glpi team:

We are currently having the following problem with glpi.
(been tested with latest version  of firefox 3, IE 7 and IE 8 RC1)

We are assigning a list of new categories for ticket issue handling
(corresponds to Dropdowns > Suport (SQL DB table glpi_dropdown_kbcategories)).
When we create more than 5 items in this table the dropdown does not show them. ("Post" the option to refresh . the dropdowns are empty) .
If we click on "massive modification"  the items are listed, and we also see them in the DB table.
If we delete them back to 5 items or less total, they appear in the dropdown.

We have tried to modify the NO AJAX numer of items to match the number of current items, but they still don't show.

I have also seen that you are also having a similar problem ocurring in your glpi demo.
If you enter as admin_en and go to Setup> dropdowns > category of software , no items are showing,
but if you select "massive modification" it shows the whole list of items.

Please advice, as this is currently upholding the deployment of your otherwise useful software.

Probably a cache effect. Try to disable it.

Re: Setup>Dropdowns>Suport items not appearing in dropdown.

Solved.

No. It wasn't the cache. Member of team found an set up a solution

In a pinch:
http://glpi-project.org/wiki/doku.php?i … figuration
  Display Configuration
Setting the No use AJAX property for less than 20 elements will do nicely.

May we suggest adding the atribute title="Place an [JOKER AJAX var]  to view all options " to all wildcard input boxes, so when you hover on the box this explanation appears?.
This would make it more user friendly.

Thanks for your time.
