Modifying display.function.php

So it appears everytime I try to modify display.function.php I get the "you must accept cookies to reach this application."  For instance, if i edit line 711 from /front/central.php to /front/computer.php I get this error and cannot log back in unless I replace the orginal display.function.php.  Another example is if I comment out lines 366-372 (i dont need the tools menu or anything that goes with it), I get the same error on log in.

Basically what I am trying to do is upon login go straight to the /front/computer.php page, get rid of the status link and get rid of tools and anything below it.

Can anyone explain why editing this gives me this error?  Is there a way to do what I need to?

Thanks

Re: Modifying display.function.php

How do you remove the "Status" link?  How do you remove the "Tools" and "Notes" links?  I don't see any options for these.  Also, is there no way to make the default login page /front/computer.php instead of /front/central.php?

Administration / Profiles
you choose your profile
Notes are in common section and tools are in tools section

The default login page can just be central ou helpdesk

After, if you want this modifications, you must change the program
