Pass through Without NTLM

Is there any way to use pass through authentication without using mod_ntlm? such as ldap and mod_kerberos?

I am using Centos 5.2 and for some reason, mod_ntlm and mod_ntlm2 always fails to compile.  This is from a fresh install and all development libraries installed.

So I found one that worked: Perl_AutheNTLM.  The problem with this one is that it causes apache to hang at random times.  Again, this is a brand new install with the only things configured and running are Apache and GLPI.

So I was curious if there was a different way.

As always, help is appreciated!
