Time zone issue

Hi,

I am in India. and my time zone is GMT +5:30. I have selected GMT +5.5 in glpi hence. Also the server that hosts my glpi is set to the same time zone.

Now my glpi always shows incorrect. I have to reset the time and date again and again to 00000 and then select the current date and then  it shows the correct time.

Can you tell me where the issue lies as incorrect timing is creating lot problems in reporting. The date glpi shows is always correct. I do not find any other setting in glpi where I can set the time permanently.

Re: Time zone issue

glpi ver: 0.71.3
mysql: 5.0.27
Apache: 2.2.3
php: 5.2.0

I have set my timezone to Asia/Calcutta in the php.ini file
date.timezone = asia/calcutta

also in glpi the timezone has been set to GMT +5:30. The hosting server is also on the same timezone.

Please let me know if further information is required. Can you give me some hint where I am going wrong.

Re: Time zone issue

Humm so i don't understand your problem sorry.

Did you try to update to glpi0.71.5    or test the 0.72 RC (not in production just for test).

Re: Time zone issue

Ok I did this to solve the problem though not through GLPI.

Glpi understands all the timezones which are in negative that is -x:xx
but when you select the timezones which are ahead or in positive like +x:xx it misses many of the zones.

I went on selecting each and every time zone and it reflected all of them till GMT +5:00 Islamabad/Karachi but after that it did not understand +5:30 Mumbai/delhi/calcutta/chennai
+5:30 SriJayawardene, +5:30 Katmandhu and few more of them.

I do not if this is a bug or some thing else but ideally it should detect all of them.

So on my server I selected the time zone islamabad/karachi for +5:00 and then forwarded the time of the server manually by 30 minutes. Then I have to change the time time in BIOS so that the setting is permanent.

please look into this.
