Hello there,
Ik have on the UBUNTU 8.10 server a version 0.70.2 GLPI working,
In this version the LDAP doesn't go as I wanted it to go.
So I want to upgrade my installed version to 0.71.5
But i installed GLPI using this link
http://www.ubuntugeek.com/glpi-it-and-a … tware.html
I already updated my UBUNTU server with apt-get update
and apt-get upgrade
But GLPI stays on the version 0.70.2
Anyone ho can help me with update-ing in ubuntu?
(the config fles are set in
/etc/glpi/config because of the ubuntu installation)
Thanks in advantage.

Thanxs but I have tried that one.
I downloaded the latste version.
Unpacked the tar file
stand in de right directory en did this command
sudo cp -R * /usr/share/glpi
cp: cannot overwrite non-directory `/usr/share/glpi/config' with directory `config'
cp: cannot overwrite non-directory `/usr/share/glpi/files' with directory `files'
jeroen@ubuntu810:/usr/share/glpi_new/glpi$
En now the whole site is giving errors like;
Warning: require_once(GLPI_CACHE_LITE_DIR/Lite.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/share/glpi/lib/cache_lite/Lite/Output.php on line 14.
Then I thougth mabye I only have to cp the file to the Linked directroy so I did this;
so I went to the directory where I unpacked the latest GLPI software
Then go into the config directory and put in this line
sudo cp * /etc/glpi/config
go to the files directory
cd ../files
sudo cp -R * /var/lib/glpi/files
start the web browser and push the update button.

Don't know Ubuntu, but updating from distro package to tarbal installation is not so easy.
debian provides glpi 0.71.5 in his repo, you just have to use the good repository.
