I'm about to give up on GLPI + OCS in it's current state for real license tracking. It works well as an inventory tool- categorizing and technically telling me what is out there, but due to many problems (like those pointed out in http://glpi-project.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9040) trying to connect "real world" installations with purchased licenses (entered before or after the fact) I'm spending more time fixing things than I would just keeping track of the license assignments in a spreadsheet and doing audits using info in GLPI.
I understand that this area is receiving a lot of attention in new versions (and I look forward to trying it out), so I wanted to mention one additional issue / feature request:
Microsoft volume licensing allows you to use either the current version of an application, or the previous version. So for example, if I purchase an Office 2007 volume license, it comes with the rights to install either Office 2007 or office 2003 (with separate license keys).
So if I have 20 volume licenses for office 2007, I might have 10 users running office 2003, and 10 running office 2007. In other words, Office 2003 and 2007 share a common pool of licenses, despite having different versions and license keys.
Anyway, it's otherwise a great system, and I look forward to fantastic new versions that do software licensing better!

But can you get any license number at all? I'm performed an import from OCS and I can't get an Office 2003 license.
In fact, one of my ultimate goals was to get the the license numbers installed in our network. Mostly, I'm trying to get licenses of Adobe products (Web and design CS3).
If you were able to see some license numbers of products, can you let me know how? I can import the list of software from OCSNG but no luck getting any license number of any product

Pulling the license keys?
OCS can't pull all of those since there is no common place to pull them from which is consistant between software products.
If the product stores the numbers/keys in the registry on the client computer, you can do a registry request using OCS and then pull that infomation in to GLPI.
