Email gateway performance problem

Hi,
I've setup a pop account for glpi, which seems to work fine most of the time. But when mails with attachments arrive, the mail gateway can not retrieve the mails as tickets.
The attachments are not very large, at most 10mb in size, but the pop integration seems to stall. This is a plain mail connection with no security etc.
What is the best way to increase mail integration performance?

not very large : at most 10Mb ?
Forma a 1Mb mail is very very large

yes 10Mb is very important for a mail.

A lot of smtp server have a limit à 5Mb...
