Lost User

I'm a newbie ... and I'm doing some product testing to see if GLPI will work for our situation ... so far, so good.

However, I have messed up one of the 'User' accounts, and I can't figure out to correct it.

I went into a User and my intent was to change the Profile from 'post-only' to 'normal'.  I deleted the 'post-only' profile (which was the only profile) before adding the 'normal' profile.  Immediately all the user information disappeared.

Now, the 'user' doesn't display, but I can't create the user again because the 'user already exists'.

How do I get this user added back into a 'profile' so that it will display again?

Thx!

Re: Lost User

Your user is probably in the trash.

From the user list you can choose to search in the trash.

Re: Lost User

That was about the first thing I checked ... at least this is what I did ...

Next to the Trash Can icon I changed the value from No to Yes and it returned the statement "No Item Found".

I don't think it is in the Trash.

Did I do it right?  Or, do you have another suggestion.

Thx!

Re: Lost User

Are you in the right entity ?

I can't reproduce your problem, did you try with the demonstration ?

Re: Lost User

I don't know how to switch entities.

All the users were created before the entities were created.

We've never been able to connect to https://dev.indepnet.net/glpidemo

Re: Lost User

We found out (by accident) that when we were logged in as user "glpi" that the 'lost user' could actually be seen.  We added a 'profile' to the user and then it could be seen by all of the other users.

What is significant about the user 'glpi'?  Why could it see the user after all the 'profiles' had been deleted?

Re: Lost User

user glpi is super admin on the root entity recursively
when a user doesn't have profile, he can't connect and is only visible on the root entity.
