Transfer option

Hello,
How do I use the transfer option? From which menu in glpi?  Is it used for setting the location information of a piece of hardware in glp? Can I associate an owner to a group of computesr?

I am using glpi 0.70.2.

Thanks,
Raj Mohan

Re: Transfer option

Hi,
Thanks for the quick answer. But I am still confused. Is the "Transfer" option the "Transference" under the Administration tab? But when I click on Transference it takes me to a configuration window. Where do I find the "massive action" ?

Regards,

Re: Transfer option

The "massive action" is the option menu under the list of computers (or other equipments).

Check the box to choose the item to apply action on.

Re: Transfer option

Thanks, I could see the "transfer" option. Somewhere in the forum it is written that "Rules are only used when importing computers from OCS. For already imported computers use the transfer option." However, in the transfer form, I couldn't make out how the location can be changed. Any clarification will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Transfer option

Transfer is used to change "Entities"

Location can be change without "Transfer". Simply update the computers.
