glpi agent, how to report a remote software states

Hi, we are managing some industrial machines where we have installed the glpi agent.
The machines (Windows based) have got a service that could have some states defined as an integer. The states could be 1, 2, 3... etc.
The service can store the state in a file or can make an http request to report the state.
Is there a way to report to the glpi server the state?

It doesn't sound like this is the right solution for what you need. The GLPI Agent only occasionally reports inventory information to GLPI and yet it sounds like you want to know more or less in real-time what the state of a service is. You would be much better off using an actual monitoring solution like Icinga or Nagios.
