Q1:
Why is almost every entry separate and not as one version with the appropriate number of installations?
Q2:
How can I remove the version with 0 installs (the cleansoftware task is executed but has no effect)?

Do you have a rule configured in the Software Dictionary to merge them?

Hi @cconard96. I have rules for merging software with different names, but here I'm concerned about not merging for identical versions. Shouldn't this happen automatically?
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 1 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 1 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 2 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 1 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 1 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 1 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 1 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 1 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 1 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 2 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 1 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 11 Pro x86_64 2 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
they should display as
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 13 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
128.6.0 Microsoft Windows 11 Pro x86_64 2 Mozilla Thunderbird 128.6.0 (x64 pl)
For example, why do some entries look like this?
115.9.0 Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x86_64 31 Mozilla Thunderbird 115.9.0 (x64 pl)
It was able to sum 31 installations but not the others. Note that even in the case of problematic ones - not all of them are as 1. Some are e.g. as 2.
And it's not like I have it as separate software. It concerns one program entry, containing a certain number of installations. Inside there is a number of versions - and the problem concerns these many versions.

Another issue that might be related to this, and would certainly make things easier for me, is that the cleansoftware task doesn't seem to be working. It appears to delete something in the results, but I don't see any noticeable difference in the amount of software I have.

I have this issue too.
I've manually updated the softwareversions_id in glpi_items_softwareversions to point to a singular version then cleaned up the glpi_softwareversions table - - but something is happening at insert time causing these.

I have same issue and i think the problem is OS build version corelated to software version.

I have the same problem, the automatic action cleansoftware executes several items, but it makes no difference, as if it removes them and the agent imports the software again. I looked for a way to execute a rule to not import empty versions, but I couldn't find anything
