Hi. This is my first post. I am helping configure GLPI and I do not have experience in the subject. I searched the net, but could not come up with an answer (maybe I am not using the correct terminology?). Could you tell me if the kind of thing we want to do is possible?
What do I want to do:
We have dozens of projects with dozens of individual products associated with each one of them.
I want to select an individual product in an ticket form.
I can do this right now if I list all products (irrespective of project), but the list have hundreds of entries and is not very user-friendly to search.
I want to be able to (in a form) select the project (much smaller list) first and from there a second selection listing only the products associated with that project.
Things I do not care:
How it is done (using projects, dropdowns, custom objects).
Constraint:
The list of projects and products is constantly updated, so ideally the solution is independent of content and can be updated programmatically (for example, creating conditionally hidden products questions for each project will not work).
Other info:
We are using GLPI 10.0.3 with Additional Fields/Form Creator/Generic Object/Datainjection plugins (we can install more if necessary).
Thanks in advance.
