Phantom entity

I have a child entity that is not appearing in the master list of entities.

if I view the parent entity it can be seen on the entities tab however the name is not clickable.

I have tried to recreate it however am unable to do so as the name is in use, I can create other entities.

Suggestions?

Re: Phantom entity

Hi,
I have the same problem like McHenry on a fresh 10.0.16 and 10.0.17-dev.

No items in sub enteties are shown in dashboard or asset lists.
Must go manualy to the sub-entity.
The double arrow link for "as well as its sub-entities" have no effect.

I have dumped the sql database from a working (apache, php7.4.33, mariadb 10.5.23) 10.0.17-dev and restore it to a new installation (apache, php8.2.7, mariadb 10.11.3 and glpi 10.0.17-dev. (or 10.0.16)

Maybe someone can help to solve the problem.
Thanks.

Re: Phantom entity

@conrad,

Could this be related?
GitHub issue: 16249

I need to create the entity however the existing phantom is blocking it as the name already exists.

As the entity cannot be edited, can I safely simply update the name field in the entities table?

Re: Phantom entity

Good morning
It's very strange. I did a reinstall on my Raspberry today (OS, Apache, PHP and MariaDB) and used the dev version from today (10.0-6c23ece.tar.gz).
It seems to work correctly for me.
I have no idea why it didn't work yesterday and I can't say where the error is.

Re: Phantom entity

Any suggestion on how to remove this phantom entity as it is blocking me from creating the real entity as the name matches.

It is safe to remove the record form the entities table or at least change the entity name so it no longer matches?
