Assigning locations/entities based on CIDR subnet

Hello again everyone,

We have GLPI running with native inventory and i want to categorize the assets based on their IP address.

The best way to do this is through Subnets since our company is quite large (6 locations, 3 countries, ~5000 assets). The rules are set with subnets in CIDR format.

Now, where i run into a problem is finding where and how does GLPI Inventory pull the network information from agents. I dont see any subnet fields and im not sure in which format they are.

Should i use something else than CIDR? Where do i find subnet information from agents? Should i use IP address instead of subnet for rules? If so, how to write the rules?
