Info glpi licenses

Hi,
I currently use a free on-premises version (version 9).
I'm considering upgrading to the latest version but I don't understand some things:
1) Is the new version free if I keep it on-premises?
2) Do the prices on this page: https://services.glpi-network.com/ only refer to support from partners for configuration? If I don't want support, is it free?
3) If I update to the latest version, will we lose any features that are currently free with version 9?

Thank you

Re: Info glpi licenses

GLPI was and still is completely free. There is no difference between the version you can get on GitHub versus the version you get with a GLPI-Network subscription. The subscription is for support, access to some premium plugins, etc.

Re: Info glpi licenses

Does the "dashboard" statistics plugin remain active even with a non-network license?
I wouldn't want to lose some features I currently have with version 9.

Re: Info glpi licenses

No community plugins (not sure which "dashboard" plugin you are referring to) are locked behind the GLPI Network subscription. GLPI has had dashboards as a native feature since 9.5.0, and therefore doesn't require a subscription. The only dashboard-related thing I can think of that requires a subscription is the "Advanced dashboards" plugin made by Teclib'. The plugin lets you create cards that pull data from the database using custom SQL queries. This plugin was always part of the subscription though.
https://plugins.glpi-project.org/#/plug … ddashboard

The only reason you should lose access to features is if you are using a community plugin and that plugin is no longer maintained/updated for GLPI 10.

I'm talking about the "dashboard" plugin, I think it's native.
Currently on my version I can see the statistics of tickets, technicians, activities etc.
I can see it from the Plugins->Dashboard menu.
The link no longer seems active: https://forge.glpi-project.org/projects/dashboard

I don't know if it also remains in the new GLPI version or if they changed something on the statistics part.
Today I need these statistics:
Ticket by location
Ticket for technician
Activity
Request origin statistics
Average ticket closing time statistics

I don't necessarily need this plugin if the glpi natively provides these statistics in the new version (in the current one it doesn't do it or in any case not in such detail).

Re: Info glpi licenses

Your are referring to this plugin, which was made by a community member:
https://plugins.glpi-project.org/#/plugin/dashboard
They did move the plugin code to GitHub but they stopped development because dashboards were added natively to GLPI in 9.5.
https://github.com/stdonato/glpi-dashboard

I suggest setting up a new, separate GLPI 10.0.13 instance to check out the available features and differences between the version you are currently on.

Yes exactly, I'm proceeding this way.

I don't know if you can give me any advice.
I currently have glpi installed on a centOS linux virtual machine.
Unfortunately, to update the glpi I have to create a new Linux virtual machine with a more recent operating system, otherwise I cannot install the new version of PHP and other specifications required in version 10.
What is the best procedure in these cases? Transfer the files, folders and databases to the new virtual machine and then try the upgrade. Correct?

Re: Info glpi licenses

It is essentially the same process as a regular update.
https://glpi-install.readthedocs.io/en/ … pdate.html

1. Backup your DB (mysqldump)
2. Install GLPI prerequisites on the new VM
3. Import the DB dump in the new DB server
4. Download the latest GLPI release from GitHub
5. Extract the release archive to the correct location for your web server (/var/www/html for example)
6. Copy the config, files, marketplace and plugins folders from your old server to the new one. You never want to copy the entire GLPI folder or simply overwrite the files in the GLPI folder with the ones from the release archive.
7. Open the new GLPI install in the web browser and follow the install/update wizard being sure to select the imported DB and choosing the "Update" option rather than "Install"

Re: Info glpi licenses

HI,
I'm testing the features on a separate version.
Can you tell me where I can find the statistics of the number of activities \ tasks?
I would like to know the total number of activities included in a time range.
With the old plugin I was able to.
