GLPI Inventory doing nothing

This is probably me being incompetent, but I have installed GLPI Inventory on a single PC for testing. I think the installation is correct, but it's always possible it's not.

If I open the GLPI Agent locally on Port 62354, it says that the "Current Status is Waiting". The Server details listed on there are "https://[servername]/glpi", which I am assuming is correct.

I can "Force an Inventory", but even after some time, nothing is showing on the GLPI Server. I have checked that "Enable Inventory" is Selected on the Server itself.

I am not a PHP person and most of the information I can see explains stuff on the background systems that I know less than nothing about. Notwithstanding, I cannot understand why I get nothing showing when the Inventory is run.

As I say, this is almost certainly down to me being incapable but, at a previous place of work, I managed to get GLPI and FusionInventory working together, so I don't quite get what I have done wrong this time.

Sorry!

Thank you.

Try https://[servername]/glpi/front/inventory.php for the server URL.

Re: GLPI Inventory doing nothing

cconard96 - Thank you for this suggestion. Unfortunately, it has made no difference. Is there a step-by-step setup for GLPI Inventory plugin on Windows? I tried to follow the instructions on the website, but nothing seems to be working. GLPI itself seems to be fine, but I cannot get the Inventory to do anything.

Thank you for your assistance.

Re: GLPI Inventory doing nothing

Hi.
Sorry - we broke up for Christmas and New Year and I have only just seen this response. Notwithstanding, I seem to have managed a resolution that works. Or seems to!
I have set the GLPI Agent installation to read http://[x.x.x.x]/glpi/marketplace/glpiinventory/ and ensured that Enable Inventory is enabled in GLPI - Administration - Inventory
This seems to be working. Now all I need to do is figure out how to get this installed using a GPO!

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards.

Re: GLPI Inventory doing nothing

Hello, I have a question, if I want to change my GLPI inventory port, which is 62354 to 62300, is it possible?

If so, how is the procedure?

Re: GLPI Inventory doing nothing

Yes. You need:
1. To change the GLPI plugin port (Home -> Administration -> GLPI Inventory -> General Setup -> Agent port=62300)
2. Change ALL Agents port (C:\Program Files\GLPI-Agent\etc\agent.cfg -> httpd-port = 62300)
3. Make sure that the port is listening and is not blocked by a firewall on the Agent’s side. (command for PowerShell: tnc IPAgentHost -port 62300)
4. Make sure that port 62300 on the GLPI Server is also not blocked by a firewall. (command for PowerShell: tnc IPGLPIServer -port 62300)
    Maybe something else smile

Re: GLPI Inventory doing nothing

Thank you very much sIBajHYG, I will give it a try because I just had a problem with the port. I changed it to 62300 and never heard it, it only listens on 62354. But you know, I forgot to test if it's not blocked by a firewall on the agents' side (Windows).

I have a question. I have GLPI 10.0.11 installed on Fedora 38, but I don't know if in Linux I have to unblock or configure ports from the server side.

Thank you.

Re: GLPI Inventory doing nothing

I guess I was wrong. From the server side there is no need to open this port.
