chain of approvals

Hi, please help me.
It is necessary to create a chain of approvals.
A new ticket is received from the autor, and approval number 1 is entered. After approval №1, approval №2 is submitted, as well as approval №2, approval is opened for approval №3.
How to configure business rules for requests correctly? (can be configured between approval №1 and №2, but cannot be configured between matching units №2 and №3).

Re: chain of approvals

How to do it in business rules, when there are 2 approvals, run further for approval №3?

Re: chain of approvals

I don't think this is possible with business rules at all. Business rules aren't really suited for multi-step processes, but rather change data for individual updates or item creation.

Re: chain of approvals

You can emulate it with linked forms using formcreator. This is a feature we contributed to the plugin.

Re: chain of approvals

Create a form with a validation, and link it to another form with another validation.
If the first one is rejected, the form will be over and no ticket will be generated.

Re: chain of approvals

Curtis will have more information but typically there are three ways to get a new feature in GLPI:
1. Add to user echo - https://glpi.userecho.com/
2. Sponsor a feature. Please contact your GLPI Partner to channel this.
3. Build a plugin.

For points 2 and 3 please contact us if you need somebody to help you.

Regards,

Re: chain of approvals

We may have a feature/plugin available in the future that would allow you to define approval chains in tickets, but I don't have any more information that I'm able to share regarding that right now.
Certainly having a sponsor for that feature/plugin would be the biggest help, but the next best thing would be adding the suggestion on UserEcho or upvoting an existing request so we know how much community support there is for it.

Re: chain of approvals

Hello.
I have the same need :
wait for a first approval before, then a second one, before sevral tickets are created to different teams.
I understand the validation on form itself.

But you say :
"Create a form with a validation, and link it to another form with another validation.
If the first one is rejected, the form will be over and no ticket will be generated."

where can I link a form to another one ?
