I have the following versions:
- GLPI 10.0.10
- GLPI Inventory Plugin 1.3.3
- GLPI Agent 1.5
I installed the GLPI and GLPI Agent on the same computer, an Ubuntu machine (and this agent is the responsible to run the tasks).
I also have an Windows machine in the same network (with GLPI Agent installed) to do this test.
I have made the following actions:
- Activated the GLPI native inventory
- Installed the plugin via marketplace
- Added IP ranges with credentials v1 and v2 (in this order)
- Created a task and only changed the target, the agent and activate it.
After try these steps many times (trying many solutions), I had reset the GLPI database/project, did these steps above again and now I have a discovery task that stuck in "Ready" state.
It seems that the task only run when I force inventoy (accessing agent url and clicking the force inventory), but I don't want to do this and it seems wrong.
I don't know if it is related, but when I try to access the agent url using "localhost" or "127.0.0.1", it shows the "Force inventory" button. But when I use the computer IP + port, the button do not appears in page.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I am new to GLPI. Installed the Server and Client at Debian 12 and installed some agents at Windows with GPO and a VPS script. Works fine.
So, when a agent is installed at a client, the client is immediately shown at the inventory server.

What about the inventory and deploy tasks? Did you try to run one of these types of task? In my server, it was not getting any results (even if was errors).

No,
I don`t use the tasks. Perhabs I will do so, when I am fine with automatically do inventory with snmp traps.
It was much more easy to use vbs script, located at the same place like logon.bat and use GPO
