GLPI Inventory Plugin: What does "Groups of Computers" do?

Hi

I couldn't find any information about that function in the Forum or via Google.

I assumed that "Groups of Computers" in the GLPI Inventory Plugin under General would give you a way to select systems with the agent running to assigne to inventory tasks.

I added a few PC's as a static and dynamic to groups but they won't show up under task "Actors". Just the single Angent devices.

Is there a configurations involved that i missed or is there a bug or am i mistaken how that should work?

Thanks in advance.

Guys I have the same question. Is there really no solution?

Where can I find information about what these groups are for and what the difference is between dynamic and static groups.

Actors are the agents that will carry out a task while Targets are what the task should be run on/for. As far as I know, groups can be used as targets but not actors.

Static group: You specifically choose the members
Dynamic group: You specify criteria for the group and the members are resolved at the time the group is used
