Email notification for newly installed/removed hardware and software

Is there somewhere a feature or report in GLPI that allows notification of newly installed/removed hardware and software ? I haven't found something so far yet, but maybe I am just blind.

Re: Email notification for newly installed/removed hardware and software

Well, I thought so. The big problem I encounter because of this missing feature is that I always have to check those changes manually and there is usually quite some movement when having around 7000 PCs and servers in the database. Also the problem is that when a new license is added into a specific catagory which I created in OCS dictionary, the whole licenses information in going back to a global license count as this the default import method I have set up. But even when changing it to free it will mix up my main software license overview.
What I am looking for is to choose during OCS import not only the two license options "free" or "global" I would need at least a 3rd one for example "Select Agreement" which is just chosen from a set of categories from dico_soft table in OCS. By this, the license count would match and just a little field would then need to be checked to send out an email notification.
I will take a look at the import routine of glpi, but maybe the developers can give me a hint, too, or at least tell me, if something like that is on the roadmap.

Re: Email notification for newly installed/removed hardware and software

Can someone tell me how the value "To Buy" in the "Inventory --> Software" view is being calculated.
I have at least found a way for me to get the license count working if software is not under a global agreement or for free by just running some simple SQL statements. With this I at least achieve some sort of new license count. I now would just like to know how the "to buy" value is installed, so I can create a manual hack to send out email notification when newly installed licenses came in
