Link assets to assets

Good morning,

Is there a way to connect assets with other assets in GLPI?

I tried it with Impact Analysis, but I have the problem that I have to select the assets in a list, where you can only see the name and not really recognize if it is the right one now.
The components also looks unsuitable for this, because for my purpose, there is not the right category and I would have to equip the components with a lot of custom fields.
I have also tried to create custom fields with which I can select the other asset in a dropdown list, but there I see except for the name also no information about the asset.

It would be handy if you could at least display the serial number somewhere or select a tab in the asset overview list to display information about the linked asset.
