GLPI Session Storage

Hi Team,
I am using GLPI 10.0.9 version, and the complete setup is on AWS.
GLPI is running on apache on AWS EC2 instance (amazon-linux-2) and DB used for it AWS RDS MYSQL.

I want create an Active-Active setup for GLPI web server (multiple GLPI web server will be running in parallel to balance the load).
I have made common DB among all the servers by using AWS RDS MYSQL.

Currently session storage are stored in EBS storage attache to each EC2 server at /var/lib/glpi/_sessions path which was defined in local_define.php as given in official documentation (link:https://glpi-install.readthedocs.io/en/latest/install/index.html#files-and-directories-locations)

But I am facing problem in making common session storage by using AWS ElastiCache Redis server, as I don't find a way where to configure the Redis db in order to read/write sessions from it.

As per the current setup each GLPI server (EC2 Instance) has common mysql storage, but the sessions are getting stored separately in each server.

There is nothing GLPI-specific regarding changing how sessions are handled. In your PHP config(s), you just need to change the session.save_handler to Redis and the session.save_path to the Redis connection string. From personal experience using Redis for session storage, you WILL need to enable session locking (redis.session.locking_enabled) and MAY need test various lock retry counts (redis.session.lock_retries) if you start seeing redis lock errors or notice some issues in GLPI itself with sessions.
