I've recently started using the Printercounter plugin and still don't understand a few things, so I hope you can help me.
We use Kyocera printers in the company. I have set the SNMP config with SNMP v2 and the corresponding communities.
The other configurations are:
Mac Address Conformity: Yes
Serial Conformity: No
Printer information: Yes
Sysdescr: No
Toner level: Yes
Serial and sysdescr are switched off because I always get error messages there.
OID's should be about 200 in the list. I first tried to enter individual ones, then I inserted the entire MIB list from Kyocera. When I got the same information as before, I tried to find out the exact OID's with Wireshark and then entered them.
These are only a few examples of my OID's.
1 1.3.6.1.2.1.43.5.1.1.3.1 -----
3 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.4 -----
4 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.4.1 -----
6 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.4.2 -----
8 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.5.1 -----
9 1.3.6.1.4.1.1347.43.5.1.1.36 -----
10 1.3.6.1.4.1.1347.43.5.1.1.36.1 -----

The only information I get is the toner level, location and uptime. The number of pages is missing, the data is not updated in the asset when I update the printer data, the fields remain empty even if they were entered manually before.
In the log I get errors like Host error and IP Fail, furthermore all counter types have a counter value of 0. What does this mean?
I would also like to know what the options Sysdescr and Serial Conformity are for.
Above all, I would like to know what is possible with the plugin, as there is not really any documentation about it.
Many thanks in advance!
