How to create rules

Hi,
I am a beginner of glpi, I want to learn how to create rules. For example, I have created a root entity with many sub-entities under it. We receive tickets from users. How to create rules to assign users to the corresponding sub-entities according to the received email addresses. I tried creating multiple rules based on email suffix and child entity names, but they can only be assigned to the root entity.
